Dear Mr. President,
Patriotic retirement: There's about 40 million people over 50 in the work force; pay them $1 apiece with stipulations:
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.
4) They would probably use the rest to put in savings - Banking problem fixed.
Much cheaper than the trillions being ineffectively spent on the financial industry.

I would add a fifth: Entrepreneurship.
With entrepreneurship you have an excellent way to:
- Create your own economy
- Make a positive difference in other people's lives
- Diversify – When your direction changes, perhaps because your clients’ needs change, make the change with minimum problems
- Be independent – take a vacation when YOU want to
- Enjoy a measure of security – your job is not dependent on someone else’s whim
